One of China'a growth/export strategy is (and was) always to attract Chineese enterprenuers who settled in the west, so that they can bring technology and market(links).
Now they want all the other chineese to come back, as it is more of country's requirement of quality work force of their own, it seems.
US will loose the edge slowly, if they don't act quickly in not only in retaining talented immigrants and need to do "lot" other things.
That is why it is called "Mother Land".
But in this story it looks like the locals are a little bit suspicious of returnees.

Thank you all for responding.
I am still not able to figure about while entering US, how they know that you have AP? Do they have any way to find out that you have applied for AP? If not, then once you have H1B stamp in your passport, it should be smooth entry...
I am not local to Mumbai and I hate to go to the visa stamp as they always treat us bad..
Also, My H1B expires Jun 2010. Can I extend H1B if I enter in US using AP without having H1B stamp in passport?

USCIS started sending notifications for Premium Processing petitioners on 15th April, 2008. As we start receiving notifications, a lot of H1B petitioners using IV are waiting to hear from USCIS, this thread can help keep the information in one place and provide quick access to the current status of notifications. My check has a temp address of NJ - After that my address changed 3 times ... I didn't even mention that address in G325 because i stayed there for 30 days temporarily ....
Am i screwed ? This thing is going beyond Limit now... They are NOT leaving any option other than settling to other countries like CANADA or Europe...

With the launching of IV Tracker tool for it's registered members, IV has taken the right step in becoming the one-stop portal for all issues related to EB immigration.

Hopefully, it will limit the current practice of opening tracker threads to track the progress in processing dates etc. I also hope the tool gets extended in the future to support other features such as PIMS verification and annual EAD renewals too.

You have to actually work for company A- be on their staff, be on their payroll, be there full time employee. W2 is only issued if u work with them and draw salary.

I agree with you that IV needs money for the good cause and it has to come from donations. All I am saying is if someone like me who is on H1B and can't fill the profile wants to reply to someone's query then IV should not be charging me for that because I have no dates in my profile. Money has to be generated but not at the cost of popularity of IV and defeating the purpose of IV as a common platform for all legal immigrants.
With all due respect, why don�t you want to update your information? As others said that this info will help us to know where we stand as a group. All of us knows we need this forum to bring new people on board with us and only way is to get them here is help them when they have difficulty but other side of coin is we need ways fund our movement to move forward .If you have better idea or thoughts just toss it here our seniors will look in that.

Same here, september 11 notice date case transferred to TSC, EAD and AP recieved for self and spouse but no FP yet.
Some say it is not an issue, some say it can be an issue
but you never know with USCIS... anyways its more than 5 months...... that got me worried....
But I am little better now... see my signature.....

This is what i found on the irs website - still havent decided whether to e-file or paper file
Just eFiled Federal and its already accepted.. My AGI was as it was last year and for spouse (new SSN) put AGI=0.. I needed to confirm the AGI twice and it went thru then.. And next day I received email that return has been accepted... Didn't filed state for personal reasons...
So I don't see any reason why not eFile.. its faster... Lots of others have already done and thats how I came to know that I need to enter spouse's AGI=0... And filed using her new SSN.. No mention of ITIN anywhere...
