Hello everyone,
I went online to check the status of my I-485 and it displayed me the following message
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.
On December 19, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.
What does it mean? Does it mean that I-485 is approved.
Pls guide.

Technically, your H-1B status terminates once you are no longer working for and being paid by your H-1 employer. Being on a LOA does not protect you from this unless the LOA is for reasons that are both personal and out of your control, such as serious illness.
A new employer can file an H-1 petition for you even if your current H-1 has not been cancelled. You will be required to submit recent pay stubs with that application.
You mention AC-21 and having an EAD, but your profile does not indicate that you have a pending I-485. Can you clarify?

Hi,
I am going to file for I-485 as the PD is current for all till 17-Aug-2007. I got my LC was approved in Oct-2006 and I-140 in Feb-2007. I am working on H1B visa and my current H1B visa is expiring on 03-Jan-2008 (about 5 months left from now).
So can I apply for I-485 with less than 6 months left in my H1B? Although I still have 2 years left in my 6 year's counter.
Also if I apply for I-485 now without filing for H1B exension can I file for H1B extension later on say (in Sep. 2007)?

I got an email from DOS (TRTClearanceResponses@state.gov) as follows:

I saw so many RFE recently. I am wondering If there is RFE, the attorney can not represent me. Can i just send RFE by myself to CIS? Or the attorney has to do it.

If the attorney submitted G-28 for that particular petition (which got the RFE), then only the attorney gets the RFE. But I believe any one can respond to the RFE (yourself or another attorney) along with a new G-28 to change the representation.

Well, I'm pretty biased since I work on the Expression Blend team :beam:
Silverlight is a great alternative for the numerous developers who already have knowledge in C# and want a way to port their desktop applications to run on the web. Silverlight 2 is basically a lite version of WPF which is quite a powerful framework for creating desktop apps.
The combination of Visual Studio for coding and something like Expression Blend for the design makes creating Silverlight applications extremely simple - especially for the numerous individuals out there who don't have any knowledge in ActionScript but do have a more formal background in Java, C++, VB, etc. You can even import and use assets created in 3rd party apps such as Fireworks (which is what I do), Photoshop, etc. as well.
Temp - you do know that Java is probably one of the most widely used platforms a whole host of applications right? :P

She can't renew her H1B after 6 years. She can work using EAD or choose not to work. No need for H4 also. If you want a cover for you, she need to file PERM for her to start a process for her. No other way for cover. If you work for sponsoring employer, your H1B is still valid, eventhough you enter with AP.

Team, My Labor is filed under PERM was Audited and now approved.
For, Qualification it says Bachelor + No Experience
However, in Skills section it says 5 years of experience in Software Development (.NET).
I got Audited and was required to provide Business Justification for 5 years experience for software developer position.
Can this be applied in EB2?

"The cut-off dates are the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd of a month, since VO groups demand

Hello,
I am a new commer with no photography experience. I bought the D70 body with the sigma 28-80mm/3.5-5.6 and the 70-300mm/4-5.6 lens. when taking pics with the 28-80mm lens the pics seem to be alittle blurry and dark, and with the 70-300mm comes out alot clearer and slightly brighter. I am mostly taking pics of people in action, in the house (pics of kids while playing) where the lighting is alittle dim, but not dark. I am wondering if I need to get a new lenes with a better fstop or what to help my pics out??? I must include that I am not trying to use the flash because of the harsh lighting effect that it has. can anyone recommend what I should do to clear up my pics?

You raise an excellent question--and one to which, at present there is no authoritative answer. The statute and regulations are silent on the issue and USCIS has not addressed it in any policy memo.
I would argue that because the purpose of AC21 is to protect protect foreign nationals (and the US employers who depend on them) from the uncertainty and disruption resulting from lengthy and unpredictable quota delays, denial of the I-485 should not result in revocation of an approved H-1 extension. This is especially true if a non-frivolous motion to reopen and reconsider the I-485 denial has been filed. I am not aware of any AC21 H-1 being revoked by USCIS based on an I-485 denial.
Moreover, an I-485 denial does not invalidate the underlying I-140 which would remain valid unless revoked for fraud or misrepresentation. For example, if the I-485 is denied because it was erroneously filed at a time when the PD was not current or because the medical indicated that the applicant had infectious, untreated tuberculosis, consular processing would still be an option.

Thanks all for your kind assistance.
After consulting with another owner of a D-100 (which I accidently met on the street) it seems that the problem is indeed power source related.
I do a six normal batteries and when I replaced it all went well.
One more thing.
Do u guys know a 4gb memory cerd (Hitachi's). The camera display is different when I use this card and an original (much smaller) one.
When using the 4gb card I can't see the number of photos left. Is this normal?
Is the card infected with some virus? Or maybe I received some cheap used card ?
